Rev. Brenda Barnes Jamieson, Interim Minister
Rev. Brenda Barnes Jamieson has a passion for church transformation. By the grace of God, she has witnessed congregations who were transformed as they began to hear God's call to do a new thing, and risk finding new ways to be faithful. Now she works and prays for a time when all churches, all members, indeed all God's children, have an opportunity to be transformed by caring for each other and for God's world. She has developed expertise in areas of Bible study, prayer, visioning, listening, discerning, and guiding people through conflict, as well as in crisis counselling, grief, abuse and addiction, domestic violence, parenting, and raising children with special needs. After growing up in a suburb of Detroit and attending Alma College, Brenda received her M. Div. from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. She has served churches in Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan and Illinois. She and her husband Stuart are the totally unbiased parents of two fantastic young adults: Andrew and Rachel. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, knitting, baking, beginning backstrap weaving, playing with children, and witnessing the creativity of the weeds that take over her garden.
